Dallas Cowboys Crushed by Washington Redskins

There was good news and bad news in the Dallas Cowboys loss to the Washington Redskins. The good news was that it set no additional serious injuries, and Tony Romo franchise records for pass amendments in a season. The bad news was anything but.

This game meant much more to the Redskins as the Cowboys. A Washington meant that they would win heading into the playoffs. A Dallas win would not help the Cowboys would be in any way, and a Dallas lossnot harm them in any way. The way the Cowboys played, played a little about the good for the Dallas fans face the starter in the third quarter and were essentially of Washington dominated the whole game. It was cold. It was raining. Three pro-bowlers were out of the lineup - Terrance Newman, Terrell Owens, Roy Williams and Andre GURODEM. Sam Hurd threw two touchdown passes possible. Rookie Nick Folk missed a short-range field goal. Each team has a bad game or two, butthis could be bad for a game at this point in the season, a warning sign of playoff disappointment?

Tony Romo put up amazing numbers for all season. A 7 of 16 performance yesterday was to hit him (through completion) Danny White's 24-year-old record for most additions in a season. The weather was bad, and TO was out of the lineup, but Patrick Crayton Terry Glenn back and has turned into a very reliable receiver. If Owens can not make it back for the first playoff game in twoWeeks, or play with less than 100%, it could be another long day for Romo.

As mediocre as the Dallas game was over, the game was actually running a lot worse. A franchise record for rushing futility was set yesterday to win a whopping total of 1 yard on 16 carries noise! Julius Jones carries the road to 7 meters in a positive 8th Marion Barber needed only 15 yards of the thousand meter mark to beat, but was penned by the Redskins defense and managed to rush for negative six yardscontributes to six.

The Dallas defense had not anything to brag about. Career backup Todd Collins was a very efficient 22 of 31 for 244 yards. Collins threw for one touchdown and had no complaints. Clinton Portis ripped through the Dallas defense for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns. Portis was the first player to rush for over 100 yards in a game against Dallas this season. No one in the secondary injury-riddled might Santana Moss took cover in eightReceptions for 115 yards and a touchdown.

What does all this mean for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans? It is hard to say, but the Cowboys seem to disappear any time of year when the calendar hits December. The week will probably help to heal some nagging injuries, and hopefully be able to enough to recover to play. Overall the regular season was very good, as Dallas rolled to make a 13-3 record. But everything is forgotten very quickly if Dallas makes a further rapidExit from the playoffs.
